Hi, I’m Madeline.

Madeline, with short blonde hair and red lipstick smiling at the camera, sitting in front of a bookshelf filled with books.

Madeline Brown, LMFT, SEP, MA

My journey to becoming a therapist has been guided less by a plan than by a series of quiet invitations; moments when life, my body, and something larger than myself asked me to listen. I spent many years as an actor, drawn to the mysteries of us and the many ways we reveal ourselves through relationship, imagination, and embodiment. Over time, however, my body began to whisper, and then get louder, that it was time for a new chapter. Trusting that wisdom led me away from the stage and toward a different kind of witnessing.

Madeline blurred in the background, holding a tarot card of Strength with an illustration of a woman and a lion, two birds flying above.

As a life-long Tarot reader and second-generation seer, I’ve often devoted myself to my Tarot practice to help me through initiations.

My Tarot-based business You Are Magick then emerged. Through many readings for clients, the cards often became a doorway into conversations about grief, trauma, longing, identity, and the places where people felt most lost. Time and time again, I found myself sitting with people at the edge of their most tender, vulnerable edges. I felt deeply honored by those moments, and desired to meet them with greater skill and competency.

My own healing through somatic psychotherapy has taught me that the body remembers; the body also knows the way home. That wisdom then called me to graduate school, where I trained as a trauma-informed, somatic therapist. Rather than this feeling like a departure, it felt as though every chapter of my life had been quietly preparing me for this work.

Today, my practice is a weaving together with my clients – of creativity, relational and embodied presence, trauma-informed somatic therapy, and a reverence for intuition and synchronicity.

I believe healing is not about fixing what is broken. It can be about remembering what has always been alive beneath our protective patterns and finding ways to integrate newly found meaning with choice, autonomy, and agency. Sometimes that path begins with a sensation, a breath, a dream, a surprising moment of recognition, etc. There is always a way in….

I see therapy as a collaborative and deeply sacred space where we can honor both your suffering and your longing, tending to the stories held in your body while making room for new possibilities to emerge. My hope is to help you reconnect with your own inner wisdom, trusting that healing is not something we force, but something we cultivate with patience, curiosity, and compassion alongside a trusted safe other.

I would be honored to walk alongside you as you rediscover the resilience, connection, and life force that have been within you all along.
